What does everyone think of the new rule allowing the mods to ban someone for 7 days after only 2 comments are removed?

I really believe the decision to strengthen everything was a gut reaction, like "I am fed up with all this BS" than a reflexive process to find a better solution together, all the mods together and the users as well. The mod voting of the "solution" was oriented with one track mind of locking everything up as fast as possible to bring back some "fake" peace.

I'll add my work here, because it's relevant

The sub was short of 2 mods during 2 weeks (from 09/15 to the election days 09/30 - 10/01 - 10/02 - 10/03). But during those 2 weeks only the election week end had this madness going on.

I wanted to prove that the escalation leading to the week end madness was something purely induced by the mods election. I like this sub, and I wanted to add real arguments to counter the decision of locking up the mod sub and reduce the user input to a weekly thread.

I wanted to prove it, not with my own opinion but with facts and numbers, to add a clear reason to change the frustrating weekly thread into something less frustrating like it was proposed, a week end lock up of the mod sub, because there are less mods available.

A monthly input thread... yeah... right... thank you for you generosity... really. We (users) had literally to beg to be able to have a weekly input in the mod sub... And this is still frustrating when you want to add something meaningful, but no, the thread is already locked up.

/u/Nikkitgirl commented the rule 2, to propose the mod sub to be open more often, but the comment was ignored :

Rule 2: yes with an openness to consider it happening more often

And please, who will really try to stop /u/AndyWarwheels when she wants something done her way? Please do tell me, and be honest.
