Earning a living

This doesn’t make sense to me. Of course we have to earn a living, assuming this is directed at average, healthy adults.

If we don’t earn our living then we assume others must supply it for us? In order for “I shouldn’t have to earn a living” to be true, someone else out there must have “I should have to earn that guy’s living for him” be true.

We don’t live in a world where robots are capable of harvesting resources and food and supplying for our wants, of course we have to wake up and take care of ourselves by producing value in the world.

WTF is wrong with people that they think they’re entitled to wake up and have everything handed to them?

(P.S. I’m all for universal healthcare, supporting those unable to support themselves, and basic services, but come on, you need to get out of bed and do something productive in this life.)
