Rape is common, and for women like me, something we don't get yo conveniently ignore. You being a man, can afford to be insulated. But that doesn't give you a free pass to turn your input and criticism thereof on and off.
Yes, rape is much more common in the world and even in the west than I would like. However you being a woman I presume a western woman doesnt mean you have a leaps and bounds better perspective on it than me. Or that I'm somehow isolated from it and it's rampant around you. To know who actually has more common dealings with rape we'd have to read eachothers biographies.
Furthermore you didnt answer my question (see below my questions). How many rape cases a day are you presented with? To give your opinion on? Either it's a high number and you are a lawyer, a dean, a police or it's a low number because your position in society isn't related to an area where rape would be presented to.
I am black and I don't expect you to ve presented with daily police brutality and abuse of the black community. That would be absurd. I assume you to be against it and would speak up if there was a situation where you actually would have an impact on the case. Say if you were a witness. I hold nothing against for not dedicating your life to finding any possible instance of problems, crime, abuse in the black community and making an opinion.
I don't know your race but even if you're white in this white priveledged society I'm not going to be as condescending to you as you have been to me. Not only is that an ineffective way to get your point accross it only perpetuates barries, misunderstanding and distrust.
Weird how you don't care about rape until it's a high profile case, even when you're not a juror. Idk, just seems like you're not really philosophically consistent, and you want to say something, but not have to pick a side because then you'll upset someone else.
It's more the fact that my opinion on cases doesn't actually effect them if I'm some dude with zero connection to the case. Are you planning to fly me out to every rape case in the world put me on the stand and have me repeat what I read on the news? Because that's all I would have to offer if I have no connections to the case whatsoever. I have better things to do in my life than being a rape article commentor.
Also I find it pretty pathetic that you are saying I don't care about rape. At best you'd be insinuating I'm a sociopath. That's a very low tactic and shows that you don't have much respect for me. Nope more so it seems to me like you just want to pick a fight about rape since you somehow keep derailing this whole discussion into it. Into me being a "remorseless" "selfish" person for giving people the benefit of the doubt in my daily life.

What have you actually done advance womens rights or combat the disgustingly high rape and sexual abuse statistics? Remember picking fights, twisting comments, and arguing online actually aren't productive.
How many rape cases a day are you presented for your opinon on? For each one does your opinion actually affect the case?
Why does it upset you that I give people the benefit of the doubt in my day to day life? It's already established deciding rape cases isn't a part of my day to day life and probably isn't part of yours either. This seems to go beyond pedantry.

How is it selfish that I don't dedicate my time to seeking out rape cases especially considering my opinion on each case doesn't actually effect the case and my legal background is at best a hobbyist?
Are you actually happy with yourself in general? Because it doesn't seem to me from what I've read on this thread from you, your actions, and derailment on the conversation. If this is what you're choosing to do on a friday night then that is not a good sign. I'm "studying" and my girlfriend, my rock isn't in town.
