Yes, because that's exactly what I said. It's hypocritical to be outraged by this and not to check every band. Do you seriously think most people here do that? No, they don't. They notice only when it's a hyped controversy and even then most don't. I'm willing to bet that all top commenters here listen to some band whose members have done something horrible and it's on the record, but they don't bother to look it up because it's not hyped up.

If I listen to a black metal band, for example, and I discover they have what I perceive to be dodgy song names or lyrics, I do some research and make my own personal decision on whether I am comfortable enough supporting a band who holds those beliefs or writes songs about them.

Well black metal is a bit of a special case. Lots of horrible people seem to gravitate towards it and try to spread their horrible ideologies through it. But that's not at all comparable to Vektor. nothing in their music would suggest "I'm a wife beater".
