[Vent] Does having a Crappy Fall Semester of M1 Year, affect you long term?

Just finally found my stride to be honest. First year I kept experimenting and nothing really worked well for me. I stopped going to lecture though and watched everything online second year which gave me more time to pause when I was getting distracted which meant I actually got stuff out of lecture and the other thing was finding someone else who studied similarly to me. That meant we were usually on the same page with topics and could keep each other on task and quiz each other which really helped. Lastly, second year I started to exercise and get out a lot more which I think helped clear my head and allowed me to do better. I’m not sure one single thing really was what did it but kind of the mixture of all those things allowed it to go better. I didn’t start scoring in the top half or anything but I went from being bottom of my class scraping by to being solidly average. As for third year I’ve just always done better on the practical side of things and standardized test so shelf’s and talking to people made that one much easier than the first two years of Med school.
