If you're thinking of leaving med school

Look I’m not a doctor, I’m not in medical school, I am, however, an Advanced EMT.

Please DO NOT listen to this advice, especially if you have student loans. You’ve all worked SO fucking hard. You’ve gotten SO FAR. Please, just try your damnedest to see this through, and don’t quit. My childhood dream was to become a doctor, and I never gave myself the chance. Was never really a great student when it came to the hard sciences and math (even though I was good in bio, go figure, less numbers I guess). I’ve always marveled at what Med students are learning. Healthcare’s hard and often awful. You can do tele-heath, you can work part time, you can even quit after you’ve gotten your MD/DO, but you’ll have known you did it! You’ll have graduated and no one can ever take that from you.

I just can’t help but feeling like the vast majority of people quitting will regret it, and that harsh regret coupled with massive student loan debt could legitimately cause someone to feel suicidal. Don’t live a life of regret, finish what you started, because you CAN. You’ve already come this far.
