So I live in a purple coastal California community that has always been pretty resistant to Covid measures. Today, I was searching through my local sub to see what people thought of my city and most of them have said the area of the county I live in is full of “anti-vax/anti-mask fascists”. They are ashamed of my area and of places like Orange County that “still have a lot of progress to make” and that we have too many “White Evangelical MAGATs”.

It’s just crazy how unhinged this site (and most of social media) became the last few years. You can look up posts from 2019 and prior on any Sub and things were much more even keeled and friendly, and people weren’t constantly going on political rants. People’s brains became so broken since Covid and everyone is at each other’s throats all the time now.
