Yes, this! My grandmother and mother were both raised very strict Catholics, but my mother became pregnant at 19 out of wedlock and was kicked out of the church. I was not raised going to church, but my Catholic grandma ended up marrying a Mormon so she changed to LDS. She was VERY pushy when I was younger and tried everything possible to get me in a church. I've tried Catholic, LDS, Methodist and non-dom. By far my favorite was Methodist. But I just didn't believe any of it. It felt like a joke and I spent more time trying to decide if these people actually believed what they were saying every Sunday or if it was just me. It just blows my mind because I simply cannot get my mind to wrap around that way. It's brainwashing to the extreme, imo
