It can not be said enough that the curve went up and down during universal mask-wearing for around 18 months or so. Why would masks work, then not work, then work again, then not work? It was just the seasonality of the virus. And once the mask mandates were finally dropped in some locations but not others, there was the opportunity to see case rates in those counties that still had them vs. those that didn't. When you have seen that up close, looking at the numbers every day, what you are seeing is irrefutable evidence that the mandates are not effective. That is on top of all the other issues and other evidence and the totally questionable "science" on which mask mandates were instituted in the first place.
