Waiters of Reddit, what's the worst first date you've ever seen?

My husband received an Applebee's gift card for Christmas so we went out for dinner just this past Saturday. Neither of us had ever been there before, and I must say I wasn't impressed. When we were taken to our booth, the seats still had bits of food on them from the previous diners, and when I pointed this out the server just wiped the food straight onto the floor. Like, great, now we're sitting with our feet in food. Found a hair in my macaroni and cheese. At the end the waitress gave me the check, which surprised me as I've never in my life had someone give me the bill when I was clearly out on a date with a man...Not sure if this was her way of trying to break gender stereotypes or what but it struck me as kind of odd (and could certainly be awkward for people on a first date!). As a married woman, it's just kind of like 'Ok, whatever, not a great experience, but at least we got out of the house for a bit' but I'd feel bad for anyone who went and had that experience as a first date.
