Wanting to verify a mistake with rice

I think you want 1.25:1 or 1.5:1 but can’t recall for sure since I am using medium-grain calrose that takes 1.3:1 lately. I just bought some long-grain popcorn rice though so I better check the ratio for that.

I just googled and saw 2:1 but that seems crazy to me if it isn’t Uncle Ben’s which is par-boiled. Maybe I am super wrong though.

If you try less water and the rice isn’t cone when you taste it you can add a 1/4 cup and bring up the heat another three minutes.

I have not cooked rice on the stove top for a while. I have been using a $25 Dash min rice cooker using the ratios for different rices given in the instructions and so far it comes out perfect every time.
