Week 5 - What have you been reading?

Nothing finished this week, partly because I've been a combo of busy and sick and partly because I'm not particularly engaged in either of the books I'm reading.

Currently reading;

Still reading Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky, which I think is going on three weeks now and I'm only just over half the way through, it's odd I'm really engaged in the story but not in the main character. The what, the why and the how is really interesting the who is boring as hell. I am hoping to knuckle down and get the finished this week though.

The other book I'm reading is The Fall (Infected book 1) by Caleb Cleek and by damn this is a study in how not to write a book, don't get me wrong I'm actually enjoying this book despite how bad it is, sometimes reading a bad book and pulling it apart is fun. But you know that whole 'show don't tell' of story telling? Yeah well this book has it arse backward, one character info dumped for like five pages and that is neither an isolated incident or the only way in which this book is 'doing it wrong'. No idea on when I'll get this finished, I'm doing a fair bit of work on my computer at home so I'm actually reading this on my PC when I need a break so it will probably take me a while to get through.

At this stage I'm leaning towards reading The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break by Steven Sherrill next but who knows between now and finishing Metro 2033 I'll probably change my mind at least three times!
