Weekly FAQs & Reopening Discussion Thread

Looking for critiques and suggestions regarding my plans for next month. We are going the first 2 weeks of December and doing a split stay at Riviera and Animal Kingdom.

So far, I have: Day 1: arrive at Riviera, couldn’t get any dinner reservations for this day. Day 2: Hollywood studios Day 3: Epcot Day 4: Rest Day 5: Magic Kingdom or Verry Merriest After Hours or Universal (this is a Sunday so no concrete plans yet) Day 6: check in to AKL, Epcot In the evening for extra evening hours Day 7: Animal Kingdom Day 8: MK possibly or Universal depending on what we do Day 5 Day 9: rest Day 10: Check out

My parents are in their 60s so I included a lot rest days/half days. Does anyone have any suggestions for making my parents have a good time without over exhausting them? Im holding off genie plus until I can see wait times closer to our arrival dates, but will probably end up purchasing it to reduce time wasted standing in line. For sure buying lightning lane for Rise of the Resistance.

Has anyone been to the merriest after hours? Boo bash didn’t have many great reviews so I’m hesitant to buy tickets for this one. We’re all adults so we’re not really big fans of shows or parades.
