Hi everyone, sorry in advance because of the long text.

I am a beginner at total war and I got TW:warhammer recently. I started a campaign with the empire, and although I do fin against most enemies (greenskins, chaos, other empire factions, beast men etc...), undead give me a lot of trouble and my armies usually get trampled by forces that are seems equals.

Last time I fielded an army of 6 units of crossbow or arquebus, 4 halberds, 4 sordsmen, karl franz, a mage one hellstorm and two reiksguard.

I went against Kemmler, he had prestige vargheist, prestige skeletons, 2 grave guards, 5 black knights, blood knights and some fell bats, the rest was composed of zombies.

My crossbows and artillery were blocked by bats and vargheist, while my infantry line was completely crushed by their cavalry, I tried to get Kemmler with karl Franz but he eventually got overwhelmed by Krell and grave guards.

I ended up conquering Sylvania with three stacks of 20 and auto-resolving my way against them but it's not really enjoyable, does anyone has some tips against undead armies ?

TL,DR : can't beat undead in battle, any tips welcome.
