So this is why we're protesting?

I know it's difficult sometimes to have a conversation over text form especially on Reddit. But here is a little lesson in reading comprehension.

When you looked at that guys comment where he claimed it was 50% of the budget, what was your first thought? Mine was "That can't be true cause the entire budget is like 6 trillion and the military is only 715 billion." So I popped on over to google.com and pulled up the break down of the budget to see where that guy got 50% or if he just pulled it out of his ass. Lo and behold the military budget is around 50% of the discretionary budget.

Therefore it's safe to assume that the original OP didn't pull that number out of his ass and he was clearly referencing the discretionary budget. He didn't literally put the word "discretionary" in his comment but he didn't need to.

There is more to someones point than the literal words they type.
