'They were very persistent': CBC finds more cash-for-jobs immigration schemes

So many people in this thread can't shake their prejudice and bias..

We say, "I want to buy a house for my family."

You hear, "I hate people different than me!"

We say, "I'm scared and I want to feel safe in my community."

You hear, "I don't like those people!"

We say, "I think people should be allowed to express their love any way they want."

You hear, "I'm intolerant of other cultures."

STOP. Please. Let's talk about the solutions. Even if those solutions use scary words like "Chinese" or "Immigrant". If you refuse to allow those words into these discussions, you are refusing to hear our concerns. Conservative politics is the politics of fear. Do you think you are moving progressive politics forward by calling people names when they express their fears? You're simply pushing them toward the people that claim to have all the answers. There are answers, and they can be compassionate and thoughtful answers that work for ALL Canadians, but if you refuse to face these realities, sooner or later you will create something you fear much more than a tax on foreign buyers, or stricter immigration laws. STOP IT.
