Comrades,

We talk about our ideologies, point out the disgusting excesses of capitalism, discuss the burgeoning fascism in the United States, but really, what are we doing? Are we playing the role of spectator and amateur commentator by submitting new links and upvoting, wishing we could change the world and enact the policies that the community agrees would better the lot in life for the masses?

The world is ripe for revolution. What are we doing to make it happen?

Are we organizing blocs of leftist voters, beginning with our immediate sphere of influence? Are we attending established party meetings and proposing our ideology to our fellow citizens using their language? Are we planning to run candidates (or run ourselves) in coming elections, beginning at the local level? Do we have a plan? And if not, why don’t we? We’re educated people. We have access to the internet. We already belong to a community of like-minded individuals, and some of us might actually even live near one another.

Let us be the change we want to see in the world. Let us get organized. Let us get to work.
