What are good questions to ask the interviewer when they ask "do you have any questions?"

"Thanks for your time, some thing I always ask is if I've I said anything concerning or vague to you that you'd like me to clear up, or if I mentioned something that would prevent me from moving forward in the process, or any other feedback youve got for me on the spot?"

Does some good things for you

  • let's you have another go at something you said that was concerning to them, if there was anything. Maybe you simply phrased it wrong or were too nervous on the spot to remember your best answer.

  • If there wasn't anything concerning you'll usually get immediate feedback that you did a great job and have nothing to worry about. Congrats!

  • Shows that you understand you can make mistakes, be honest about them, and try to fix them rather than cover them up. Shows a great deal of integrity, as well as confidence that you can solve problems.

  • Shows how interested you are in the position. A willingness to ask for feedback right away indicates someone who is really interested, as well as confident and motivated about getting the job.

  • Shows you look for any opportunity to improve your skills. A desire and ability to learn are some of the most desirable characteristics a candidate can show.
