What are the great failures in human history?

In modern history, the repeal of net neutrality. Here in Europe, access to the Internet without the isp blocking, prioritising or slowing down traffic is seen as a basic human right. The European open Internet access policy protects us.

Over the pond, I'm not sure what's going on anymore but it seems like the repeal may or may not happen. Not sure. Especially since Ajit Pai has now mired the FCC with controversy regarding fake profiles commenting on why the repeal is good, fake DDOS attacks and bribery from ISPs. Literally can't get anymore conniving and corrupt.

There's also Trumps rise to power, the far right and Brexit but this is a topic for another day.
