What are ways you've seen people be toxic without having nefarious intentions?

Recently saw a conversation from someone being sick from the vaccination but feeling better, so they were going to visit their parents. Someone responded to not overwork themself, it’s very serious, and to take it slow or else they’ll be frustrated (supposed to be in a joking way). For some reason, that statement really made me wonder if that person is secretly very controlling in a relationship.

It’s the vaccine, a lot of people were sick with one of the doses. But if this person wants to drive to their parents and feel they can, then it’s their decision. Like, when would being frustrated change from joking to not joking, just because someone didn’t do what you said? It was just a flag for me.
