What city is extremely overrated in your opinion?

Dungeons & Dragons

Don't get me wrong, I love game night with friends. but on the whole D&D is the most jank ass mess of rules and expensive books that takes a whole session just to explain to folks how it works.

At first I thought this was just a problem endemic to the hobby, like to get involved you just have to be willing to sit through tutorials and figuring out how the gamr works, but then I tried Pathfinder 2e, Blades in the Dark, and a whole bunch of smaller indie systems, and I've never really looked back. So much easier (and cheaper) to bring a single small book to teach and just jump into a game than trying to find YouTube tutorials for how to play D&D 5th edition. I wish more people knew about the smaller games.
