What this person is saying is that even though you said you have to be sick, old, very young, or have a weak immune system, there are flu viruses that have, can, and will kill even the healthiest specimens. Yes, the Spanish influenza affected many young men because it was during the war. Ships were turning up full of dead soldiers who were once healthy.

This should be clear to most people who read this. Your hostility towards the comment is entirely uncalled for. Don’t be such an ass. You don’t have to be sick or ill or very young or old to die from flu. You could be a young man at the peak of their physical condition and still drop dead if it’s left untreated.
