What critically acclaimed video game did you just not care for?

I don't think I ever uninstalled a game as fast as I did after I beat Borderlands 2. The gun play was decent compared to the games I typically play, but it's so annoyingly repetitive... and if there's one thing I hate more than enemy respawns, it's boss respawns, it makes everything I'm doing feel pointless and it's also super irritating when the game forces you to kill them again for more useless crap. IMO the game would have benefitted from NOT being "open world", 90% of the gameplay is running back and forth for garbage rewards rather than making actual progress or having fun. Also, I wasn't a fan of most of the new creatures they added in. A lot of them felt like they didn't really belong to that planet unlike the first game. Ice gorillas and land worms? Meh.

I can see why some people enjoy grind-y looters but I'm more into story, and after playing the first two, I don't think the Borderlands series is meant for me.
