What did someone do that made you question your faith in humanity?

The guy running the convenience store by my work told me today as I was buying coffee that just before I came in a customer found out her boyfriend cheated on her, just having a bad day dude told me, then a guy comes in in a rush, wants to get his transaction quickly cause he's got a cab running the meter outside. "He was an Arab, yknow, which is ok" according to clerk dude, and the woman goes off on him about how dare he and "we're getting you out of our country" yelling and ranting. Clerk homie just tries to move it all along and get the sales rung up, but it obviously bothered him cause he tells me this story. So, what I take from this story is just a general sadness. The woman was sad/angry, and happy to take it out on her first easy target, being a racist and all. Clerk buddy has to deal with crazies all day and needs to unload. Guy in the cab thinks he can cut in line! Clearly the worst of them all! And I just nod and say "that sucks" cause what the hell can I do? Cheaters, racists, line-cutters, well meaning but apathetic convenience store clerks and ineffectual Reddit commenters. Humanity in a nutshell.
