What even is Only Fans if it’s not for Porn?

Personally I agree with you on a lot of points you made. It is uncomfortable seeing people become so devoted to online personas that dont even know they exist. Porn shouldn't have any sort of relationship involved, that feels unhealthy. I feel like it should just be a means to an end, most ppl are horny asf and a quick 10 min video to help get boobs or butts or abs or whatever off their mind and continue with their day ain't the worst thing in the world imo.

But on the otherhand, I'll never forget seeing those articles when Mia Khalifa (one of the biggest pornstars... Prolly of all time) came out and explained how she only made about 10 grand from her videos and photos. It seems like porn companies will pay their workers a small amount up front and then just collect and keep the fortunes they make off of using their images and likeness. That girl was plastered everywhere, whatever company hired her must've made hundreds of thousands, if not millions, off of selling, distributing, and leasing her likeness.

Basically, to me it seems like there is currently NO way to watch porn ethically. Someone is getting exploited no matter what, the only variable (atm) is who. I've got nothing against porn and don't think it's inherently wrong or anything. But I do hope this onlyfans drama helps spur conversation of how we might be able to provide such a service in a truly ethical way. Or at least a way more ethical than the mostly scummy ways we've got rn.
