What do you guys think about the new DLC?

I think the new weapons are very high quality and have awesome reload animations. I also liked the new weapons sights, and the new online mission looks great. And I'm so glad they're still developing core features and finally adding bipod functionality.

That said, I was a little disappointed, but not surprised, that they have no animation for deploying the bipod with the character's hand. Seeing the bipod move on its own looks quite awkward. Knowing how difficult it is for them to add new elements to the animation system, I kind of expected this, and it's largely the same reason why they can't have the character work the bolt after each shot on bolt action rifles (which is why they weren't added to this DLC, and MGs were instead). I still hope they'll work on this though, with all the animation improvements they've been able to add to Arma 3 (ragdoll and reload animations), I think they could find a way, so it's just a matter of us making it known that details like this are important to us (if I'm not the only one who cares about such things). The swiveling animation of the character's body once in the deployed state looks great though.

The bipods look like they function quite well, but it seemed like they may presently reduce the recoil a little too much, resulting in almost laser accuracy at relatively long range. I hope that will be toned down a little bit, then it will be perfect.

While I really like the design and variety of the weapons, I wish they weren't all large-caliber semi-automatic weapons (or in the case of the MGs, full-auto). This will only move things further away from the standard issue calibers (5.56x45 and 6.5), and disrupt the game's balance. From a gameplay perspective, weapons like the Mk18 ABR and Zafir are already the best, and adding so many more like them isn't the direction I would have liked to see.

I also do wish they would have added in wind effects on ballistics, even in a very simplified form, though I didn't expect it. I think gameplay would really benefit from that by making long range shooting more difficult and requiring specialized tactics. Hope to see this at some point in the future.

Overall though I'm pleased.
