what do if teammates are not willing to pick the "right" heroes?

Well I do shotcall, but I never "bark" orders at people, I rather make suggestions like "we need to deal with the Pharah" or "I'm not sure if Tracer and Genji as DPS is the best choice against a Cree and Brig" or simply ask "can someone hitscan to deal with the Pharah"?

In the diamond games I had so far, things were just fantastic, lots of good communication, lots of switching and counterswitching and as said, overall, highly enjoyable.

In gold as tank currently when I ask "can someone deal with the Pharah pls" my Junkrat instantly answers "I HAVE GOLD MEDALS" and my Tracer just doesn't react at all.

Like yeah, gold medals is cool, but we need something against the Pharah though.

Again, my main gripe is people not even trying to counter certain threats or simply staying on whatever hero they are WHEN getting hardcountered.

So how can you help?

I'm usually the guy/ cow (horse?) with the big ass shield trying to protect the team.

Again, if people pick an actual counter and things still not work out...shit happens. My main gripe is that so often, people are not even trying.

When I then myself switch to Hog or D.Va to counter e.g. the Pharah, then people lose their shit "WHY SWITCH OF SHIELD???? U THROWING?" ...like...umm...what gives?
