I got sent to the principal's office in elementary school for looking out the window. We had been doing a math assignment individually and I finished before the others, so I went to the external door (which was in the coat corridor), opened it up, and looked outside to see what the other class was doing out there. I guess while I was doing so the teacher started going over the answers to our math problems. When I returned to my seat she asked "What were you doing?" I said "Just poking my head out the door." She replied "Well, go poke your head in the principal's office!" She was actually a good teacher but in retrospect it was incredible how insane/irrational/unprofessional some of our teachers were at times. If I recall correctly I got lunch detention for that.
