It's a long movie. When I have a long trip, I stick it on. I don't go on long trips anymore so it's more of I'll watch it when it happens to be on. It's got a fantastic soundtrack, the visuals are incredible the all star cast is brilliant. the amount of work that went into getting the cast trained and familiarised with the gear was on point.
At one point I had this movie on PSP, IPod classic, PS3 and on my computer. I had the soundtrack too which I'd play the background when playing games that had desert combat or Blackhawk flying.
I don't watch it often but every time I do I spot something new.
Top gun
It's not the best but as a fan of deserts, blue skies and afterburners and 80's american military with a clean cut cinemaphotograpy. Easily watched this in the region of 30-50 times. I blame the air training corps for that.
Apocalypse now
If you've read this far you've noticed a war theme. I guess you could say so. I just love this film, it captures a scent of the craziness of the war, the complete dissolution and times of uncomfortable chaos. I've not watched the redux though and don't know if I should or not.
Full Metal Jacket (one of those films I could quote but stop myself. I do feel it could have been so much longer)
Robots...yes..that animated movie with robin williams. It's gifted it for PSP and since I only had that and Black Hawk Down I'd watch it to pass the time. It's really weird.
