I think I have an answer to the conspiracy theories. I believe that we have a million ideas that take a fact and twist it to a ridiculous degree because since the internet happened serious truths have been exposed. To combat this, I believe the media, and government began creating their own "journalist breakthroughs" that turned conspiracies to entertainment. This is why a lot of it is allowed today, and when questioned leaders or people in high positions just snicker. It also creates paranoia and a feeling of "there's no point" and also people become so passionate about their view, that they get stuck on a particular event, period of time, or idea and unknowingly refuse to move forward.
I believe a lot of the "true" stories are likely something simple, less "movie-like" in terms of "signs" "logos" and all that stuff...and a bit more mobster style "i want money" or power hungry acts of authority. This is why, unless a conspiracy has a truthful story with facts and avoids relying on "they" I just can't subscribe. Using Anon as an example, what makes them more credible than another channel? Some of the stuff they say is so ridiculously opinionated. A society is only as good as their education, and I'll side with this quote from Socrates. Also, the conspiracy relating to the dumbing down of America is obvious too.
