What news would cause Reddit to explode?

Don't waste your breathe man. The machine won this round. Between the media spastically declaring it false despite law enforcement never even investigating it (how could anybody make such a confident claim about the potential abuse of children if no investigation was ever opened by authorities?)...and the horrible job that /r/conspiracy and 4chan did of sticking to the compelling points that give credence to at least open a formal investigation to officially rule out child sex abuse when the shop owner has art on their walls displaying dead kids in their underwear and posts pictures of little kids bent over and taped to a table...that's enough for any body to deserve scrutiny from the popo...and yet somehow this creepy AF pizza shop owner with direct connections to Hillary's campaign manager was off limits. There was clearly a formal campaign to shut PizzaGate down before it soiled anyone and their partisan affiliation. I've never seen a white wash job executed so well. These people in this thread are so sure that it was bullshit, and yet there really was some substance worthy of at least opening a damn investigation but between playing off the "typical conspiracy theorist" stereotype and all the weird fake-schizophrenic people that started posting random nonsense in the reddit threads about it, Operation Discredit PizzaGate was a complete success and the only thing that any reasonable voices in the know are going to get is a shit ton of downvotes because that's how the game ends when you go up against the big dogs. It was fascinating to watch the steamroller action of the shills and their tactics. I was one of those guys that was sure that it was all bullshit and that the PizzaGate people were just trolls and schizos...until I spent some time reading through it and while some of it was definitely over reaching...there was some compelling shady stuff worth opening an investigation and when that all got squashed by some weird phantom shill campaign...it was pretty scary to watch how easily public perception can be manipulated.
