What pisses you off about your country?

Come to Canada. We're polite. Free health care. We're a "melting pot" of all sorts of different cultures. We're not violent towards minorities like the US. We believe in equal rights.... Unless of course you're Aboriginal. Honestly? Black people in America beleive they have it bad... and im not trying to downplay their problems or anything but im just saying that some people might not realise just how bad it can get up here in Canada with the Aboriginal population. You ever hear of a starlight tour? It's when police officers pick up homeless or drunk natives and drive them out to the country to drop them off in minus 30 degree weather in the middle of winter. Sometimes they beat them and leave them to die... You know how many aboriginal women go missing and are murdered every year in Canada? Even our own prime minister (Ps. fuck Harper) is pretty much like "ahh well... we got other things to worry about than missing aboriginal women." You ever research Residential schools? People think stuff like that happened a hundred years ago but the truth is the last residential school in Canada closed in 1996. Over 3000 kids died in these "schools". Many of them were sexually assaulted, verbally assaulted, told not to speak their language, had their hair cut off, were fed nothing but porridge, beaten and physically abused. A lot of them died simply from disease and poor health. A lot of families are still affected by the residential school systems. I have a daughter of my own and I couldnt even imagine having her taken away like that. But yet Canadians like to say how equal we are. I grew up in a town in Northwestern Ontario that I'll name nameless.. but i'll just say holy shit does the racism get bad here sometimes. There's a Facebook page that's popular up here where people post photos of drunk natives breaking the law and doing stuff and other people comment how bad our city has become. There's bars in town that will kick you out if youre native. Seriously, its 2015... I used to just hear about stories like that from movies in the South. But nope! Were Canadians! Were polite... We only like hockey and Tim Hortons right?
