What’s something that happened to you in your childhood that you’re still mad about?

Elementary school, and everyone had to hang up a paper bag "mailbox" under the chalkboard in prep for Valentines Day. Everybody had a book full of those dumb punch-out things and was filling them in like mad at recess and lunch. I seemed to be the only kid who thought it dumb for boys to give "Be my Valentine" cards to other boys, or for girls to give them to girls. None of us was into either gender from a sex standpoint at that age. So I ended up being the only kid sitting alone at my desk while everybody put paper hearts into the paper mailboxes. Sure enough, every kid in the class, even the ones who bullied me, apparently wanted me to "be their valentine." It still seems really dumb.
