What’s something that people should stop normalizing?

Will never understand why drinkers are offended by people who don't drink

I can only speak for myself, but I know others who share this sentiment, I was aware that I was drinking too much, but would do anything to anything to avoid/acknowledge that thought. When I was drinking and someone else was not I wanted them to drink to normalize my own actions. Because if they weren't drinking, maybe I shouldn't be drinking either, and at the time that wasn't really an option for me. Basically it made me extremely uncomfortable because their choice forced me to exam my own choices, aggravating my insecurities about my drinking habits in a time I was very much not ready to deal with it.
