The reality: There is no data to suggest that Israel is prioritizing vaccinating Jewish vs Arab members of its population. I haven't seen a single person link to any evidence to the contrary. Che invented it out of thin air.

It's like calling a black man lazy vs a white man lazy. The latter, if you're wrong, is just being wrong. The former, if you're wrong, also feeds into racist stereotypes about black people being lazy. Context matters. There is a long history (thousands of years) of allegations that Jewish people fuck over everyone who isn't Jewish every chance they get.

To the extent people want to make it about Palestine, or about the other severe problems Israel has, that wasn't the premise of the joke so bringing it up is what's commonly known as 'changing the subject' which people love to do when antisemitism is involved.
