What is up with the "release now fix later" model and how could we vanquish it?

I feel like what you are describing is a side effect of the agile development model. As I understand it, the devs have sprints where they need to basically implement some features, then "someone" prioritizes the backlog, and the devs move on to the next sprint.

At some point there should be quality control. Ideally this would occur while the features are being developed, and at worst someone like QA or beta testers would be reviewing and submitting items to fix, but the timeframes may not allow going back to fix the issue backlog in a timely manner.

Not to mention marketing and other stakeholders' influence to implement shit like NFT and other in-app purchases which takes away critical development time.
