I have multiple examples of this from my own personal life but I’ll give two.

1: I worked in casting, game shows specifically, for a few years and the “diversity” stuff was ridiculous. I found a homosexual couple for one game, they were in their 60s, had been together since they were 15, born and raised in NOLA and they were a god damn riot they were so likable and funny and my boss said “are they diverse?” I said “well they’re an older gay couple who’ve been together 45+ years. I would say yes since you don’t really see a lot of older gay men on tv, especially older gay couples who lived through the AIDS crisis…” and he said “no are they diverse so I said “are you asking are they black?” “No I’m asking are the diverse” “no…I guess they’re not diverse”

The 2nd, I auditioned for the first national tour of a Broadway musical, for a part that is white but the race doesn’t matter and isn’t mentioned in the script at all; and the actor to originate the part on Broadway was black, but when the character debuted (in an animated movie) they were white... I went through 6 rounds of auditions and callbacks, took about 3 months, on the final round in front of the director, musical director, choreographer, producers, writers, a creative team of about 12 people, the Producer and Director said to me “you are the only person who has come into this room who has a true grasp of who this character is”

A few more weeks go by and I hear nothing. I have my agents reach out and the production teams tells us “HebrewSuperman was the director’s choice, he was his favorite but…the production team felt it wouldn’t be appropriate to have a white actor play this character on the 1NT as the part was first played by an actor of color on Broadway…”

So when people say this shit “doesn’t happen”, yeah on a macro scale/statistically speaking sure, but on a micro scale I’ve personally experienced being the best choice for a job and not getting it because of social pressure, optics, and the obnoxious Left who are so self righteous they eat their own farts no less than 5 times and it’s really fucked.
