What is the working culture like where you live?

I work in IT, in multi-cultural team, but with Polish and German as a majority. Remote work and - generally speaking - a trust-based approach, is one of the main reasons why it's somehow a "pattern" for me at this point.

In short: it's the perfect mix of being professional and keeping a work-life balance, and I honestly love it.

That being said, I'm not so sure if that would be the case in most Polish companies. People around here work very hard and are - quite often - exceptionally talented, but there's also the insecurity aspect, which leads to a lot of stressful situations in practice. If you haven't yet, watch HBO's Chernobyl for an extreme example of this. Obviously, we're not living under soviet rule anymore, but this kind of mentality is somehow still echoing today (this applies to the whole ex-Soviet block in my experience btw).
