What would you do with a million bucks?

Not a misuse, just perhaps hyperbole and nuance you’re having trouble recognizing. Like when I said “It’s in my blood!” and you thought I meant that literally.

My job is fun and gives me a daily purpose, so I don’t just end up sitting on my ass doing nothing. There are days I’d rather stay home - like today, in fact. I have to be there in 6 hours, and I’m still putting off going to sleep! So I’m sure when that alarm goes off in 4.5 hours I’ll be pissed. But as far as jobs go, it’s a good one. And I’m not ready to leave it behind, even with the cash to do so.

Is that better? You seem to be a literal kinda person, so perhaps that’s more clear. Now I really must be getting to bed; have a nice day or whatever it is where you are. ;-)
