What is your favorite college marching band performance?

Here's one a little different from the other answers on here: https://youtu.be/q65sExW4Sko

Story time: I was in the Cornhusker Marching Band during this time. We were 10-2 going into the Big Ten Title game. It was not the best 10-2 record; we got beat 63-38 by Ohio State, and we lost 36-30 to UCLA during the 2nd game of the season.

Yet there we were, at the Big Ten Championship. A chance to go to Pasadena; a chance to march and play in the Tournament of Roses Parade; and finally add another number next to 1999 in Memorial Stadium understand Conference Championships. We didn't have to face Ohio State due to their band. We didn't have to face Penn State in light of their recent events. We had to face a 7-5 Wisconsin team we had beaten during the regular season (by 3 points on a comeback at home, but still a win). It was not "if we win, we go to Pasadena", this was fate handed on a silver platter to the state of Nebraska, we are going to Pasadena!

And then the game happened. I believe we were down 49-10 at the half. We heard On Wisconsin about 100 times. We had lost all hope after the pick six to make it 14-0 two minutes into the game. We had hope again after an improbable Taylor Martinez scramble turned touchdown brought us back into the game. Then jet sweeps kept happening. One person in the group kept sarcastically yelling, "GET POOPED ON!" in response to our getting beat and badly. That turned into the chant "GPO".

To say that the upperclassmen were anything less than salty going into halftime is an understatement. This same group had been to the 2009 and 2010 Big 12 Championship games and to see the Huskers fall like this again was disheartening. That anger turned into a positive though. In an indoor facility, our sound amplified naturally, and the collective frustration turned into a very powerful sounding group for halftime.

Fans left at the start of the 4th quarter. We had to stick around. One person stayed in the stands and yelled at us, "Don't worry band, I STILL love you guys!"
