Probably the best known of our tales is Eglė, Queen of Serpents. Ever wondered why so many Lithuanians are named after the trees - Spruce, Oak, some even after Ash or Birch, but none after the Aspen? You can read the translation here. It has all of the necessary elements of a good story - naked ladies, love, three heroic deeds, old wise woman, treachery and a murder using agricultural scythes.
Bonus story that I really like is, again, about love. Love between a fisherman and a mermaid. Here is a very short summary. In this one you will find out why we find amber on the shores of the Baltic sea.
