What's the creepiest thing you have ever seen through your bedroom window?

When I was a child I was finding it hard to sleep so I decided to look out of the bedroom window Into the Darkness, it was hard to see anything but I made out a shape moving slowly through our garden and toward my window, after a few seconds I realised that it was a man. I backed away and stood against the wall just to the right of the window, I heard movement just outside the window and then the man switched a torch on and began shining into my room eventually coming to rest on my empty bed before he switch the torch off. I was paralysed with fear and stood completely still for what seemed like about 10 minutes, then the man started to slowly Tapp the window with his torch, I slid down to the floor and waited, the tapping continued randomly but softly and wanted to run into my parents from but I was too afraid. For a few minutes the tapping stopped as I heard footsteps walking away, I waited a few minutes and decided to peek out of the window, as I turned and looked out of the window I came face to face with the man on the other side of the glass, we have just been standing there, his face couldn't have been more than 1 cm from the glass. Then he let out a loud shriek, I stumbled backwards and fell over, I heard glass break and i scrambled to my feet and ran for the door, but just before I got there, the door opened and there was a shadow standing in the doorway, I screamed and a hallway light came on it, was my father who had heard the man shout, I ran to him and noticed that he was looking past me toward the window, I turned and saw a small stocky man climbing through the window whilst staring at us, my dad shouted something at him and pushed me toward my mother who had also appeared, then he ran at the guy. From what I recall there was a fight which ended with my father sitting on the man and the police arriving. my parents didn't like to talk about it after that but they did tell me that it was a very dangerous man.
