What's the most ridiculous thing you've bullshitted someone into believing?

In my Freshman year of high school, my friends and I knew a kid that we had hung out with on occasion. His name was Ty. Ty was very into anime, and he always claimed to "stay up until 3 AM every night watching anime." We always teased Ty for his anime obsession, until one day, I thought up a prank for Ty. I arranged for my usual friends and I to all claim that we'd seen this terrific new anime show named "Chengeki Seguro." (I just thought up the most Japanese sounding thing I could come up with). We all asked Ty at different points in his day if he had seen the show, and of course, he hadn't and asked where he could see it. We told him if he searched online then he could definitely come across it somewhere, as it was pretty popular and gathering a large fanbase. Ty was skeptical but curious. Our friend group was not one for anime. In fact, as I said before, we ridiculed it and the people that watched it religiously. So Ty was very intrigued by the prospect of an anime that was so captivating and thrilling that it could attract fans from a group of anime haters. The next day at school, Ty came up to me in the locker room before PE with a confused expression. He claimed to have searched YouTube, Netflix, and many various anime sites for three hours the night before in order to see this anime. I don't think I've ever displayed more willpower than I did then when I had to maintain a straight face and tell him he probably didn't look in the right places or that he probably didn't spell it right. Ty, still eager to see this anime, said he'd look again because he was still interested in watching this "incredible" anime. For another week, we encouraged Ty's curiosity. We'd intentionally walk past him in the halls, chatting about the "latest episode" and we'd discuss key plot points with fake interest. We kept this up for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, Ty found out our ruse when he questioned me and a few other friends about the plot, and he received several different answers. Obviously, we couldn't tell him we didn't remember that scene, but we hadn't prepped in depth enough for his questions about specific characters or battles. We had to come clean, and needless to say, Ty was kind of pissed off. He got over it though, and we still hang from time to time, but now he's a lot more wary when I tell stories around him, and he's a lot quicker to question their integrity.
