I was like 8 or 9. My folks had guests over and their son, about 2-3 years older than I was, came over as well.

We (my brother, our guest and myself) were playing Madden 199x on PlayStation 1. I covered the game mechanics with him, and after the first play when he couldn’t figure out how to pass the ball he starts screaming at the top of his lungs “You said this button was to pass! Are you guys liars? What the heck...” and all of this.

My parents and his parents come running in from the other room and ask if everything is okay. He brushes it off blaming us and that we’ll keep it down. My parents gave us the “Settle down now boys! Behave!” Which to be fair, my brother and I did use to have a lot of scuffles.

But I just couldn’t believe some kid I barely knew had the gall to scream at us over a video game and then blame my brother and I in front of both our parents. Not to mention the place we had met their family was through Boy Scouts. That kid was a nightmare.
