It's human nature to be afraid of the unknown. My father doesn't understand anything about the life that I live other than I'm not wasting away. He doesn't want to learn about technology and where it is taking us because he is afraid of what he doesn't understand and we can't talk about reality because he just shuts me down saying "I hope you're wrong".

It's not a matter of being right or wrong, I just want to TALK about what I have been paying attention to my whole life. Where technology has brought us and where it is going to take us but I find the majority of older folks to be set in their ways. They're not open minded at all so it shuts down any meaningful conversation because I respect their boundaries but it leaves me very disappointed.
