Yes, his family lives in a nice house in the suburbs. They also routinely skip meals (unless you count tang sandwiches and toaster shakins), his car frequently breaks down and needs to be pushed home, he has no form of investment or savings and will work until he dies as his poorly educated children have few prospects and will likely be unable to provide for him to retire, his daughter regularly whores herself out to eat dinner and bring some home to the family, sometimes he's unable to afford to keep the lights on in the house, he suffers from horrible depression and tries to kill himself on several occasions, and his children often resort to theft/criminal activity to acquire living essentials.
