Its probably not the worst crime in my neighborhood but murder isn't that common in my area. My parents moved us to this neighborhood around 2006, and only really got to know our neighbors who were on the side of us. My parents never conversed with them but always were courteous by saying hello as they passed. We never got to know the neighbors across the street as they were an older couple who never came outside unless it was straight to their car.

In 2013 my sister was home from school on her lunch break watching TV when she heard a loud bang. She said she didn't think anything of it and continued to finish her lunch. Her lunch period was about to be finished so she was getting ready to head back to school when she heard another bang that sounded exactly like the first, that's when she thought it was odd. She was running late back to class and hurried back to school so she wouldn't be late.

Forward to 2:15 pm she gets out of school and there are a bunch of police cars and an ambulance surrounding the house across the street from our house. She thought this was odd because the cops are usually at the house next door to us. She thought that maybe the older gentlemen passed away, and called my mom to let her know whats happening.

About an hour later the entire block is taped off and the police are knocking at my door. They notify my mom that there was an apparent "murder suicide" that happened directly across the street from me. So that first bang my sister heard was him killing his wife, and obviously the second finishing himself off as well.
