What's the worst date you've ever been on?

Met with a friend from high school a few months after we graduated. This was a girl that I had never been attracted to, but I figured...it's just for fun, what could go wrong? So first we hung out with mutual friends for an hour or two, then they left and we went to her basement to watch a movie.

After twenty minutes I pounced and immediately realized that making out with her was a mistake. As she would put it later on "It was like our faces couldn't connect correctly." Unfortunately, I was neither wise enough to know it wasn't going to get better nor brave enough to accept the awkwardness of stopping too quickly.

Gave it about ten minutes of effort (which felt like hours), and played with her tits before I felt like we'd gone far enough that it wouldn't be too awkward to just stop and watch the rest of the movie. Afterwards, I felt so bad about how it went that I bought her a CD and we drove around town listening to it. We had fun hanging out and talking about stuff, including how bizarrely uncomfortable it had been to make out with each other.

When I dropped her off around ten, I was shocked because she flipped me off, saying it was too early to end the night. I didn't really understand what that was all about, but she texted me an apology for it the next morning and I put the night behind me. Overall, I had learned an important lesson (Never make out with someone you aren't attracted to!) and she and I had managed to remain friends despite sharing an embarrassing moment.

Anyway, around a year later, I moved into a new city where I didn't know anyone except a few friends from high school, including this girl. She invited me to her birthday party, and I was like "Oh cool! Maybe I'll meet a new group of guys and won't have to spend all my time alone anymore! I could even get the number of a hot chick!"

Instead here's what happened: whenever someone heard my name they would say "Wait, is this that guy?! Oh my god!" Then they would turn to the person next to them and say "It's him! It's [NICKNAME]!" Yes, that's right, this girl had told all of her friends how bad making out with me had been and they had come up with a nickname that combined my real name with the name of the movie we were watching when it happened.

The only friend I made that night was a gay guy.
