I lived with someone who not only refused to be quiet, it was like they did everything in such a way so as to generate the most noise possible.

Headphones/earbuds, what are those? If they were watching a movie or listening to music they would blast it through speakers (and often sing along). Anytime they talked on the phone, they'd switch it to speaker and hold it as far away from their face as possible and then yell at the phone. Showers? She'd turn on a radio and sing along to it in the shower. Needed a pan to cook something? Better dig through all the pots and pans to find the one at the bottom of the pile.

And if all of this didn't sound bad enough, she was a nurse who worked nights... So on her days off (3-4 days a week), she would be doing all of these things in the middle of the night.
