When did Doggo become a thing?

Copying from several other answers,

"4chan started calling them "doges" in like 2010 and Weird Facebook (like ironic meme pages and the aumm group and all that sort of stuff) followed suit soon after, then other sites found out about that meme and killed it. one of the many ironic dog shitposting pages (i forgot which) invented the word "doggo" to make fun of the "doge" meme and over the course of a few years it spread into general weird facebook/tumblr culture and then beyond. the same page made up "shoob" (parody of "shibe", meaning a samoyed/spitz/other fluffy white dog) and possibly also "pupper". those "bork bork u r doing me a frighten" memes are more recent - i think they come from ding de la doggo but there are loads of dog pages now and i've forgotten which one made the first memes." . Anyway...the joke comes from the fact that a lot of memes (I've mainly seen them on /r/meirl so I think they started there) had either the phrase pupper or Doggo in them for a while. People started asking "what's a Doggo" and others responded "a big pupper". Then when people asked what a pupper was others responded "a small Doggo". Now, if people don't give the correct response, others get mad be because the format of the comments isn't correct. . I think that image is the original post with 'snip snap doggos.' Some people just call almost any animal a doggo so, snip snap doggo specifies that it's a scorpion (due to it's snip snappers) and I've seen smol sea snipper doggos. Honestly it makes no fucking sense and I have no idea what it's about but, that's my understanding.
